Iyla Shah
Arts Tutor
Iyla is currently undergoing her BA Painting degree at Camberwell College of Arts. She works with mix media, tactile pieces which compositionally portray a structured chaos. She hopes to engage at least one person, brightening their day, engaging them in a social cause or rethinking how they once perceived a community issue. She discovered HVH ARTS through word of mouth and has loved helping the kids exercise their incredible talent and wild imaginations through the workshops. “The artwork they have created in the workshops has really brightened my lockdown!” HVH ARTS has enabled her to continue doing work that aligns with her ethos that ‘art has the capacity to ignite great change and we should exploit this.

Shoda Rackal
Arts Tutor
I first came across HVH ARTS Gallery in 2017. Having my two children with me from Carlton Primary school, we discovered a range of art classes that children could take part in. My children eagerly signed up to join some painting and sketching. Over the last four years my children have loved taking part in an incredible variety of photography, fashion, singing, dancing and art classes. I happily volunteered my time helping with classes. I have supported art classes including a trip to the British Museum, where the pupils had put on a fashion show. I qualified as a Teaching Assistant in 2019 and I love having the opportunity to help in a class with pupils learning something new and loving art.
