Summer Holiday Workshops

We are famous in the local area for our summer holiday projects.

The Gallery on Ashdown Crescent and the London School of Mosaic are the central locations for all of our vibrant, exciting workshops.

Every year we create a unique schedule with a variety of arts classes with our amazing tutors. The courses provide vital structure for many of our young people

2020

During these unprecedented times, just coming out of Lockdown 2020, we didn’t know if we would be able to continue our crucial summer holiday projects. We were so excited to them access to some very exciting projects being delivered safety with government guidelines. This made it possible to continue our legendary summer holiday workshops:

Illustrating an album cover – (zoom and face to face) by the NY Times Illustrator Trisha Krauss. This was a fantastic course including a competition giving the winners and runners up a cash prize to support their art resources.

Creating a Carnival Puppet – in partnership with See Through Theatre giving young people freedom and creativity to explore dance and theatre in designing huge puppets for carnival giving which had a positive effect on their confidence in team building.

Drones and Robotics – an exceptional workshop giving our young people access to skills in drone operating, coding and instilling new ideas for future careers and possibilities. This was course taught by Urban Flyers, giving our young people a sense of freedom and positivity.

Fashion – We designed our own fashion masks and personal kit bags with our partners Little Hands Design giving our young people skills in pattern making design working together for our young people going back to school 2020.
